The Church must vote in mass in this election so the ideology of our Lord prevails over satan.
“The Americans are the first people whom Heaven has favored with an opportunity of deliberating upon and choosing under which they should live”
The ideology of America has drastically changed over the last 50 plus years. I’m in the baby boomer generation (1946-1964). Most of us in this generation were brought up believing in faith, family and country. We went to church with our family and believed the United States of America is the greatest nation in the world. Many of our older relatives, who were the “Great Generation”, served defending freedom and liberty in WWII and Korea. Hearing the Pledge of Allegiance brought tears of patriotism to our eyes.
In the mid 1960’s, the culture started to change as the country was divided during the Vietnam War. I was quick to enlist in the military, along with most of my friends, while others did all they could to oppose the war. There was a shift from faith, family and country, to sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll.
Today our world looks much different from when I was a kid. I couldn’t imagine schools would not only allow men to play in competitive women’s sports, but allow them in the locker rooms and showers! That children would be coerced into believing that they were born in the wrong body and that gender altering drugs and genital mutilating surgery would be performed on them.
At this moment, the Biden administration is attempting to make changes to the Title IX women’s sports’ law that will redefine sex to include gender ideology. States, like Arizona, that prohibit men from playing in women’s sports, will lose federal school funding if this bill passes. The ideology of the Arizona senators and congressmen we elect in this election will, without a doubt, determine the passage of this and other legislation.
In a recent speech, Russian President Vladimir Putin decried fluid gender and transgender ideology as “outright satanism”. Tell me, if an evil, murderous tyrant like Vladimir Putin can tell the difference between the ideology of satan and God, how can we elect people who profess this type of ideology in their campaigns and party platforms?
With the repeal of Roe v Wade, the issue of abortion now lies in the hands of the states. Who we elect to our state offices and legislature will determine life or death in Arizona. All candidates are very clear on this subject. On May 2, 2022, Arizona candidate for governor, Katie Hobbs, made a shocking statement on her stance on abortion and men in a Tweet using obscenely explicit language that is too raunchy for me to repeat.
Candidates ideology extends to the sexualizing of our children in schools, parental rights, racially divisive critical race theory, wealth redistribution in the guise of climate change, border security, support for our police, and the ideology of our Constitution, especially the first, second and fourth amendments.
When it comes to elections, you can’t be a “fence sitter”. An old cowboy once told me “the only thing a fence sitter gets is splinters in his butt”. This is one election we cannot sit out. This year, the voting booth is a battle ground between good and evil.
