It is the Christmas season again. This time of year always causes me pause. I am amazed at the most wonderful gift ever given--the gift of Jesus. Through this gift we receive forgiveness of sin and eternal life. When we stop to think about it, God’s generosity to us is truly overwhelming.
Throughout this year, I have met so many of you who imitate God’s character of generosity. I am humbled at the number of people who have invested in the mission of 4Tucson. Through your generosity, we have been able to spread God’s gift to others across our city--to people many of us may never meet this side of heaven.
Throughout the year, Christians have met physical needs of people suffering. We have helped shape the biblical understanding of poverty and its solutions in our city. We have worked in over 80% of the public schools throughout seven districts. We have encouraged hundreds of people to pray daily for our city and its leaders. We are starting to see Christians returning to church. And, we have been blessed with many opportunities to share the hope we have with people who have very little experience with Christians in their lives.
I want to personally thank each of you who have made 4Tucson possible. Watching each of you generously live out your faith by giving your time and treasure to God’s work has been one of the greatest gifts I have received this year. You can have no idea how deeply you have touched me and overwhelmed me with gratitude.
Thank you for your love for Jesus. Thank you for your love for others in our city. Thank you for your partnership with 4Tucson as we work to envision and implement biblical solutions for city problems.
Christmas is truly a time to be grateful for our many blessings. I am very grateful that I am able to serve our Lord and Savior as CEO of 4Tucson. I am even more grateful for you and your steadfast partnership in sharing God’s blessing in our city. I believe the best is yet to come!
