Fun Place to Live Taskforce

A community that promotes recreational and social opportunities

Definition: A Fun Place to Live is an environment that promotes informality, amusement, enjoyment, laughter, playfulness and games; especially in a social and recreational context.

Challenges/Issues: The benefits of making Tucson a fun place to live would be similar to those for tourism. It brings communities together, instills a sense of pride in the community and supports local businesses. Clean, fun activities encourage families to do things together. Citywide events and festivals such as Independence Day, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter and Rodeo serve to commemorate or celebrate what a community collectively values and believes is important.

4Tucson Goal: A community that promotes a wide variety of recreational/social opportunities.
