Arizona COVID-19 Town Hall
The Office of Governor Ducey partnered with the Arizona Broadcasters Association and Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism to hold a live town hall on Thursday, April 2, on the COVID-19 public health emergency in Arizona. The hour-long conversation, allowed all Arizonans to submit questions to be asked of Governor Ducey.

Basic info. about the virus:

From the CDC:

For more information from the CDC, visit their page by clicking HERE.

From the AZ Department of Economic Security:

On March 30, 2020, Governor Doug Ducey issued a Stay-at-Home order in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, beginning April 1, 2020 through April 30, 2020. Under previous orders from the Governor, DES services are considered essential services, which means DES will continue to stay open to serve Arizonans in need. The public is encouraged to access DES services online or by phone to continue social distancing, but offices will remain open for those who cannot access services virtually.

DES customer service centers are currently experiencing intermittent phone issues, as a result of the unprecedented increase in requests for services as a result of COVID-19. We are working with our telecommunications partners to quickly resolve. Please visit www.AZUI.com to apply for unemployment benefits, view frequently asked questions pertaining to employment impacted by COVID-19, and other important information. Resources for other programs can be found at: https://des.az.gov/services/coronavirus. Thank you for your patience.

From AZ Department of Health Services:

AZ Department of Health Services Director Dr. Cara Christ discusses the importance of washing your hands while we respond to the COVID-19 outbreak. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water for 20 seconds, if soap and water are unavailable, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
