Local Mission Field

When He (Jesus) saw the crowds, He had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.”
Matthew 9:36-37

Just as it was in Jerusalem during the time of Jesus’ ministry, our city is also filled with people in desperate need. How do we get more workers into this mission field called Tucson?

Jesus transforms people who dare to believe that the hope they’re searching for is found in Him. But the status quo for most Christians is to wonder: Will I ever discover my purpose? Does God have a dream for me?

For too long, our attentions have been sharply focused on our failures and the fears that have kept us from really engaging with the work in our mission field. Christians tend to forget… we need hope too.

It’s time to fix our minds and hearts on Jesus Himself, our living hope, because He is calling us. Jesus is calling believers who dare to hope for more than the status quo; God has more for you. You have a divine purpose. God has given you passion and special gifts to fulfill it.

There’s a reason the Author of our faith calls the harvest plentiful: it’s the place full of opportunity to transform lives the way He transformed us.

Our mission field is Tucson, our mission is the people living here. Our city is filled with people looking for hope, people who are hurting emotionally, physically, spiritually and mentally. God is calling workers to help people with every kind of need.

Do you hope to be a part of what God is stirring in our mission field? You can be. There are other Christians, just like you, wanting to fulfill their purpose and transform the city. They’re looking for someone just like you, to enter in the mission together and be a part of spiritual history.

The harvest is plentiful. Come and see.
