Dr.Holt's Training is an Asset-Based Approach to Trauma with a strong emphasis on resiliency and healing. "When trauma bring you lemons, you have the power to turn your lemons into lemonade." Dr. Holt doesn't just see his work as a training but more importantly as a Movement of Healing. In this workshop we will also: define trauma and look at trauma's Impact on the brain; discuss the Nuerobiological affect of racial-based chronic stress and race-based Fight, Flight, and Freeze.
Dr. Holt currently works for Metropolitan State University of Denver Western Educational Equity Assistance Center (WEEAC) as a Trauma Expert, and for Tucson Unified School District as the Bullying Prevention Expert. Dr. Holt is a Certified Traumatologist through PESI, and a Certified Mental Health Specialist, Bullying Prevention Specialist, Trauma Crisis Specialist through the American School Counselor’s Association, and a Licensed Restorative Practice Trainer through IIRP.
He is also the founder of The Lemons To Lemon-Aide Project LLC, a business does research, training, and support in the areas of Psychological Trauma, Restorative Practice/Justice, Bullying Prevention, Diversity and Equity, and Social Emotional Learning.
Dr. Holt has a Masters in Christian Counseling in Mental Health, PhD in Psychology from Trinity International University and a doctorate in Theology from Inter-Baptist Theological Seminary.
