It is a word which has been overused to the point of detracting from the true meaning of Koinonia. It is commonality of belief, purpose and a bond through that belief and purpose which spurs one to serve for the shear pleasure in doing so.
I love serving God and the acts of kindness I can be a small part of each day. It gives me joy and I feel the delight I believe God experiences through these ministries. I am reminded of a line from a movie, ‘Chariots of Fire’, the character Eric Liddell when questioned why he missed a church event, states, “I believe that God made me for a purpose. But he also made me fast, and when I run, I feel His pleasure.” For his Delight, EUDOKEO, may we all run.
