Tucson Business Fellowship with Bert Williams
Bert says: "In the 34 years we've been in business there have been 6 specific times that I thought we were going out of business. But none were as real and menacingly legitimate as the last two years. I'd like to share with TBF what has kept me going these last months and years. A clue: It has to do with STONES. See if you can guess what it is."
Bert Williams married his high school sweetheart, Anne, the summer after their freshman year at the University of Arizona. That was 48 years ago. In between they managed to become the proud parents of three great children and three awesome grandchildren.
Bert began playing the banjo and guitar in high school and has never been without a group of friends he plays together with on a regular basis. Lately his group, Fried Squirrel, has been playing at Rincon Market on Thursday evenings. He has become close friends with the heroes of his youth, The Kingston Trio, and each year attends a Kingston Trio Fantasy Camp with others from around the world who attend and try to pretend they are young once again.
