How our society institutes change is through one of three primary sectors: the Public Sector, the Private Sector and Social Sector.

The Public Sector is owned by the state and exists to provide services in the public interest like police and fire services, education, clean water, waste management, etc. We broadly call that sector the government.
The Private Sector includes companies, corporations, small businesses and private banks which are not controlled by the state and which are privately owned and profit motivated. We broadly call this sector businesses and corporations.
The Social Sector includes voluntary, religious and not-for-profit activities which may include the arts, charities, education, politics, religion, research or some other endeavor. Although not an agency of the state, it may have to meet state requirements to secure or maintain its charitable status. We broadly call this sector the nonprofits.
4Tucson has taken those three sectors and identified 12 specific areas of influence within our city. Those areas of influence we call Domains. Our strategy for implementing systemic change in our culture is to identify Christians within each domain who will use their influence to implement change that will benefit and strengthen Tucson families.
Why Domains
No one person can be expected to have an answer for every problem facing our city. However, people can bring a piece of the solution for areas of their own expertise.
